Hooru began when I was a full-time nanny to Baby Brae. We had a connection that was built off of deep love and affection towards each other. Everyone knew that Brae was my tiny little best friend. I thought that I was the one giving my care to him, but I realized he was the one nurturing me with his unconditional love. I wanted to protect him from anything that would harm him and that is when I started being cautious with everything that he would consume and use. The materials of his diapers intrigued me. Every time I would change his diapers, I would research the products used in the diapers. And that is when the idea of Hooru came to me. In Swahili, Hooru means freedom. I want to give my customers the opportunity to feel free and not worry about the chemicals in diapers affecting their babies. With the need for a brand that is safe and natural, Hooru will endeavor to provide quality in the utmost luxurious way. The raw materials used in manufacturing Hooru’s diapers and wipes have been carefully and responsibly hand-picked to make sure that they are safe on sensitive skin.
